Reports are circulating that on January 1, archrivals HP and Lexmark will each raise pricing on consumables. On December 1, wholesale distributor Supplies Network notified its customers that HP will hike the price of LaserJet cartridges and certain other consumables for laser devices. The letter indicated that Lexmarks price increase will be applied more broadly and include both inkjet and toner cartridges. Since the letter from Supplies Network was released, we have heard from various other sources confirming that they had been notified that HP and Lexmark consumables prices will go up next month.
